A Guest In The Dugout #6 – Ed Malyon

We’re aware that Football Manager is played by people the world over, and here, at A Career In The Dugout, we want to share the stories and experiences of those players. Some of the names, you might recognise, some, maybe not so much, but ultimately, we’re all trying to live out the same fantasy.

Today, we find out what The Daily Mirrors European Football Correspondent, Ed Malyon has to say about Football Manager.

In his words, ‘this is Big Boy shit’.

Ed has offered to write a couple of articles for us, so we figured it was only fair to introduce him to you (for those of you who don’t know him, obviously).

BUY TALENT OR DEVELOP YOUTH: I would buy in shitloads of teenagers to develop. Like a virtual people trafficker.

WORST FM MOMENT: For the first time in my life, I failed as Crystal Palace on the newest game and resigned after six defeats in a row, culminating in a 6-0 spanking at Bournemouth

ADDICT OR ENTHUSIAST: Addict but real life has almost broken that reliance I once had

ULTIMATE FM LEGEND: Brian McLean (Northern Irish CB) but honourable shout-out to Emiliano Armenteros

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE: (Either FM related or personal) Try not to get sacked from the best job in the world.

Ed Malyon is currently residing in Madrid writing for the Daily Mirror as their European Football Correspondent. When he’s not watching football, or playing FM, he spends most of his time being really tall and being far too good looking for his own good.

Ed is also going to return with a full on article regarding his Greatest FM moment (notice it just went straight to worst moment?) So stay tuned for that.

If you wish to follow Ed on Twitter, head along to @eaamalyon where you’ll find out loads of cool stuff about La Liga and South America.
